This cool smoothie pairs Heen Bovitiya’s earthy flavor with ingredients found in many tropical kitchens. Cucumber keeps it fresh, ginger adds warmth, and a small amount of pineapple rounds the edges without turning the drink into a sugary dessert.
This is a modern recipe inspired by Sri Lankan flavors; it should not be presented as a traditional medicinal preparation.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Serves: 1
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) unsweetened coconut water or chilled water
- 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
- 1/4 cup fresh or frozen pineapple
- 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
- 1/2-inch (1 cm) piece fresh ginger, peeled
- Naturista Heen Bovitiya Powder, one serving measured according to the current package directions
- 3–4 ice cubes, optional
Method
- Add the coconut water, cucumber, pineapple, lime juice, ginger, and ice to a blender.
- Blend until completely smooth.
- Add the label-directed serving of Heen Bovitiya Powder and blend briefly again.
- Taste and add a little more water or lime if desired.
- Serve immediately.
Easy substitutions
- Replace pineapple with 1/4 of a small green apple for a less tropical variation.
- Use chilled water instead of coconut water for a more herbal flavor.
- Add two or three mint leaves for extra freshness.
Avoid adding extra Heen Bovitiya Powder to intensify a perceived effect. Keep to the serving instructions on the package.
